Operation Ragnar6 Projects
Operation Ragnar6 can be summed up in one word, education. Education is a broad subject matter, to say the least, OR6 is focusing on working dogs, their lines of genetics, and their future value in our society. Working breeds set a high standard for the mental and physical stamina that is maintained by breeders who understand working dogs and their purpose in our society. Our projects supports working dogs and emphasize their important roles in our day to day lives.
Documentary
Dogs are amazing animals that have adapted to humans in a way no other species has on the planet. Their integration in civilization has exponentially expanded into occupational careers which entails civil, environmental, health care, protection, live stock, SAR, detection, military, entertainment, sports, just to name a few.
A demand for good working dogs has created an exciting growth in new training methods, new research, strict breeding standards, all to produce the best dogs to roam the planet. OR6’s documentary, called Blu Collar Dog, focuses on dogs that protect America, working dogs that have careers in government agencies, law enforcement, and military. Blu Collar Dog pulls back the curtain to reveal the dedication, expertise, and relentless training it takes to make the best hero dogs in America, if not the world. This is a chance to see how valuable working dogs are in the endless fight against drugs, keeping weapons of mass destruction from our boarders, and violence out of our streets. Working dogs are trained to hone their super like abilities to protect our liberties. They are relentless in the pursuit and dedicated to their purpose, and they love their handler. |
Valhalla Ranch Project
Valhalla Ranch is a pilot program of Operation Ragnar6 (OR6), a 501(c)3 nonprofit focused on utilizing working dogs to improve the wellbeing of both individuals and the community. The 360° Approach of Valhalla Ranch is designed to help people suffering from debilitating mental illness through a structured, state-of-the-art service dog training program. Individuals enrolled in the 360° Approach program at Valhalla learn valuable coping mechanisms and marketable life skills, all while healing communities and the environment.

The Valhalla Ranch pilot program will aid psychotherapy and neuroscience researchers in mapping Trauma and Anxiety progression in humans by developing a baseline to quantify the health benefits of working dogs and the 360° Approach. Over the course of several months, the 360° Approach program provides the following:

Service DogOperation Ragnar6 is a community involved 501c3 nonprofit company. We are excited to bring the community together to help veterans and first responders with our service dog integration program, focused on trauma. Why a service dog? A service dog can provide purpose, help minimize medications, and help reduce the 16.8 suicides per day, reported by the National Suicide Prevention 2022 Annual Reports.
Lead the way by helping those who made a career in helping others. Enjoy the tax write off and help those who served our country. Your contribution is more than a check, its a chance to represent the best of us. Each service dog cost $30k and over the next six months our goal is to raise those funds. In raising the funds we help a neighbor, a brother, sister a son, or daughter in ways most could never understand. It’s not about understanding, it’s about compassion. |
Dogs have 300 million olfactory receptors in their noses, compared to about six million in us. And the part of a dog's brain that is devoted to analyzing smells is about 40 times greater than ours
Dogs possess a sense of smell many times more sensitive than even the most advanced man-made instrument. Powerful enough to detect substances at concentrations of one part per trillion—a single drop of liquid in 20 Olympic-size swimming pools. With training, dogs can sniff out bombs and drugs, pursue suspects, and find dead bodies.
Service Dog Projects
According to the ADA, service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities, both mental and physical. Unfortunately, mental disabilities are ever growing among veterans and first responders. Without a service dog some of these men and women struggle with seemingly insignificant everyday tasks, such as going to the grocery store or accomplishing simple task. Despite the benefits service animals provide for their handlers, misconceptions and abuse of privileges have clouded public opinion.
OR6 is working hard to educate individuals and corporations on how to respond to those with service dogs and encouraging support for ongoing educational projects. One of these ongoing efforts is our schools education program on all types of working dogs, related careers, and more.
Another focus of OR6 is helping veterans and first responder in both fundraising and awareness.

Working K9s Projects
Dogs specific for working K9s are either single or dual purpose. A single purpose K9 usually has one job, to find odor and alert. The exception is the Secret Service they are one of the agencies that uses single purpose bite dogs. Dual purpose K9s find odor and bite, while some also track. This is more typical of police or swat K9s.
Public opinion towards police over the years has declined while criminal activity continues to rise. Working around internal politics and public opinion OR6 is working to encourage support for local departments and help fund training for K9s and their handlers that is desperately needed. |
