Working Dog DemonstrationsWatching working dogs demonstrate their abilities in person can impact an individual in ways much different than from viewing on a screen. Live demos connect with the audience making them part of something bigger than them selves. Which in turn creates a desire to understand and act. Our goal at OR6 is to educate the public about working dogs through our live demonstrations.

Education
Part of OR6’s demonstration is focused on education. Our aim is to educate the public on working dogs to help build public relationships with local police departments and awareness on service dogs, and the value of working dogs in general.
Our school programs outlines the value of working dogs in both the civil and government career path. Each working dog, civilian or government, requires a handler, nutrition, training, equipment, transportation, and of course toys. And their are careers opportunities for each one of those needs listed above. Just in the USA the pet industry is a billion dollar industry annually. Contact OR6 for the opportunity to learn more. |
Public RelationshipsTraining and being among police handlers and their K9s, OR6 sees a responsibility and valuable avenue in helping mend the negative relationships, as seen from the general public. These negative feelings towards the men and women that serve the community as police officers needs to change.
Funding and support are fundamental in placing qualified K9 Units out on your local streets. Understanding the hows and whys can help provide information to convert generalized opinions to educated facts. Public AwarenessA growing number of service dogs are walking our streets yet many individual and business are having a difficult time understanding the civil rights of those with a service dog.
OR6 provides a public awareness training to business and groups to learn their rights and the rights of an individual with a service dog under the US Department of Justice (ADA) Americans Disability Act. (Click Here To Learn More). |
