What we do is more important
than what we say

Operation Ragnar6 is dedicated to the better working dog that provides services within our society. Part of this process is through education and awareness about working dogs and their purpose in our daily lives. This helps our society see the value for working dogs in their community and with that education provide support to needed institutions. This symbiotic relationship represents the best of us, and OR6 is here to light the path forward.

Where are we located?

OR6 is located in Southern Utah where we are surrounded by a diverse eco system centrally located in the middle of the untamed West.

Why are we doing this?

Dogs designed to excel using their natural abilities, with the guidance of a handler/trainer is truly an amazing team to watch develop. Our passion for these working dogs has developed from raising and training a variety of working lines over the last few decades. Unfortunately, there are a lot of misconception to the value of these dogs and misinformation that not only hurts the genetic lines, but also the distribution of funds into the proper working dog programs. Education programs focused on working dogs can unite a common truth. OR6 aspires to trigger a paradigm shift in our common thinking of how we integrate working dogs into our society. This knowledgable representation of working dogs will improve the efficacy and quality of our lives.

It’s about the lifestyle.

The passion is derived from living, breathing, and training every day with amazing working dogs. Some say our dogs occupy a scale ranging from crazy to insane. We would say driven. The desire to learn more about what these dogs can achieve has been and still is an incredible ride. Untethered by conventional means, ego, or mandated box style training we are able to take a more fluid training process teaching the dogs to problem solve, build work ethic, and adapt to most jobs in combination with everyday life. This equates to having a high driven dog with you 24-7 that wants to work with every fiber their body, then turns around and easily integrates into a well behaved family pet.

How we saw purpose in creating OR6

Majority of Americans have a misconception what role working dogs perform in our society. This misconception has created misrepresentation politically and by those with an agenda to do more harm than good. From education programs like OR6 we can provide the knowledge required for making healthy decisions for both the individual and the future of working dogs.

SERVICE DOGS
Knowing the role of a service dog and the programs they are associated with often helps assist the disabled physically and mentally from additional stressful situations. By allowing the service dog to perform its job it can provide their human access the world without prejudice. Simply asking to pet a service dog can often be stressful on the handler causing them to reframe from going to public places and performing normal everyday errands. With so many veterans and first responders with high anxiety, taking the time to learn about service dogs in todays world has become the respectful thing to do. Contact us to set up an educational seminar for your business or help finding the right service dog for you or a loved one.

WORKING K9S
Understanding the roll of a dual purpose K9, (a dog that finds odor and does apprehension), civilians can learn where to best provide their support for their local K-9 units and assist in keeping the streets safer from criminal activities. Dual purpose K-9 units are statically more successful to deescalate most situations where an officer may otherwise use more lethal methods. Contact us to see how you can support your local department, help them get continued K9 training, and more.

OR6 DOGS
We breed and train Belgian Malinois from birth to perform at another level. Our dogs are very active in the outdoors, public access, working odor, tracking, and personal protection. These dogs are thought to think and process under extreme conditions. We train dogs to be your everyday dog, whatever your day involves. Contact us to see what’s available or build a dog just for you.

WORKING DOGS
Working dogs are superior in genetics both physically and mental stability, (strong thinkers that process through stressful situations). These dogs are in constant demand with a shortage of supply world wide. It’s true that a small percentage of dogs are adopted from shelters but this is not a reliable source to pull solid working dogs, especially for law enforcement and military.

When talking about working dogs there is a category where genetics even in a specific lines in a breed becomes prudent.

The categories of working dog range from herding dogs, service dogs, military, police K9s, protection dogs, search and rescue, conservation,  and the list goes on with new purposes for working dogs developing every day.
